I'll pass the survey along for you.

I'm working on a project about 'women and actions sports' at the moment too, but more from a socio-cultural perspective. Maybe we should talk in more detail - there might be some interesting intersections in our work.Rebecca Olivehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09428676558153909572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29437172.post-6925943537706523752014-01-21T00:13:22.827+10:002014-01-21T00:13:22.827+10:00I also believe understanding women should be key f...I also believe understanding women should be key for a company which sells products/services to women. The problem is that most companies, especially in this industry, are still too much into old school marketing and lack empathy with their female public. I'm the founder of a new platform which promotes design-driven innovation and we've just launched a project on Women in Action Sports which aims at helping companies as well as other players in this industry to approach things in a different way. We're using Design Thinking to explore women's participation in action (aka extreme) sports, identify possible barriers and find new innovative solutions. As Neil highlights, the first step is understanding, which is always the starting point in all Design Thinking and Innovation processes. We've launched a survey as part for the research and are interviewing many women on the issue using a completely different approach from traditional marketing research, which usually doesn't look at people as actually people but as "customers". If you would like to contribute, share and get involved in the project, this is the link: http://onclaude.com/events/women-in-action-sports-project-call-for-interest--2
We've started this project because we're all (women) action sports enthusiasts and do believe that there's definitely a potential for disrupting this industry. Not easy, but we believe it's possible!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29437172.post-45277191972244982662014-01-16T07:35:37.313+10:002014-01-16T07:35:37.313+10:00Fear is a motivator for many, so I think there nee...Fear is a motivator for many, so I think there needs to be a company run by women who understand women and selling product to women and that company sponsors women surfers based on their surfing ability only and only expects them to surf well.
Does such a company exist? If not there's one hell of a gap in the market.
If they exist, let's cvlebrate them.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01402253675492293646noreply@blogger.com
