Maverick

So far in my life, I've never met a man who didn't want to be Maverick from Top Gun. No, no, not Tom Cruise, but Maverick.

And I'm not sure if this says more about me, or the men I've chosen to know.

It might also interest you to know that the same man (Kenny Loggins) who wrote the Top Gun theme song, Danger Zone,

also wrote the theme song to another famous and amazing film about breakin' the rules and doin' things your own way, Footloose.

I'm nothing if not informative!

Well I'll have you know that I never wanted to be Maverick. I always wanted to be Goose - Mav's endearingly-dim sidekick.

I'll also have you know that through all I've done and all I've become I've managed to be a goose.

Of course you don't have to agree with me Bec...

  2. Oh Stu,

Of COURSE I agree with you! And I think it's wonderful that you've managed to achieve your goals!

    Good for you!

And you managed to totally disprove my theory meaning that even with concurrence, we can maintain dissent. Phew!
